Just down the street within walking distance from Riverside Park is Historic Downtown La Crosse, which is on the National Register of historic places.  Here, you will find about 110 buildings with unique shops, galleries, museums, entertainment and restaurants.  A self-guided walking tour is available from the La Crosse Area Convention and Visitors Bureau which also has information on the special events that are scheduled each month.  While downtown, visit the Cameron Park Community Market which runs between June and October.  It features a farmers market with local harvest, live music, local artists, crafters and a dance all in a park setting.  La Crosse things to do.
